Slack audit log

Settings → Integrations → Personal integrations → Slack, connect Slack to automatically audit all Telegram chats accessible to your seat.

Slack is a personal integration: each teammate connects their own Slack and picks their own channel. Entergram relays the Telegram chats your seat can access into that one channel, so you get a running audit log outside Telegram.

The relay is one-way, from Telegram to Slack. You can’t reply to a Telegram chat from Slack.

  1. Open the Slack card and click Connect Slack.
  2. Approve Entergram on Slack’s consent screen. You return to Entergram with Slack connected.
  3. Choose the Audit channel (see below).

The card lists The following Telegram accounts will be backed up on Slack, which are the accounts connected to your seat. Audits are relayed automatically for all chats you can access, including new chats.

You pick the channel inside Entergram, not on Slack’s consent screen.

  • The Audit channel list shows your Slack channels. Use Filter channels to search and Load more channels for long lists.
  • Entergram posts only to channels. People and group messages can’t be audit destinations.
  • A private channel appears in the list only after you invite @Entergram to it in Slack. Private channels carry a Private channel label.
  • After saving you see Audit channel set to #{name}.

To move the log later, click Change channel.

If you see Reconnect Slack once so Entergram can list your channels, then choose one, your Slack connection is older than the channel picker. Click Reconnect Slack, then choose a channel.

The card shows the current state:

StatusMeaning
Not connectedSlack isn’t connected for your seat
Choose a channelSlack is connected but no audit channel is set yet
ActiveMessages are being relayed
Relaying, reinstall recommendedDelivery works, but the Slack install is missing a permission
Paused, action neededDelivery has stopped until you fix the problem

While Slack is connected, the card can also show how many events are queued for delivery.

A paused relay shows Slack audit log is paused with the reason and what to do:

ReasonFix
The Entergram app was uninstalled or its access was revokedReinstall Slack
The install is missing permissionsReinstall Slack
Entergram is not a member of the channelIn Slack, open the channel details, then Integrations → Add apps, add Entergram, then click Check again
The channel was deleted, or it is private and Entergram was removedChoose another channel
The channel is archivedChoose another channel, or unarchive it in Slack and click Check again

Reinstalling keeps your channel and settings. While the relay is paused, events wait in a queue, but the oldest ones are dropped after a retention window shown on the card. Fix a paused relay promptly.

Click Disconnect on the Slack card to stop the relay for your seat.
